Monitors

The application process for the newspaper and sports copy editing internship programs requires that applicants take a one-hour exam, Controlled Editing Exercise, created by the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund. College professors may assist students on their campuses and the Newspaper Fund by agreeing to act as designated monitors for this exam. Monitors agree to receive a number of tests from the Fund, to spend an hour administering the test (to individual students or during a group session), and to mail the completed tests to the Fund by the application postmark deadline, November 1.

To Become an Exam Monitor

If you would like to sign up to serve as a monitor for your campus for the Summer 2006 Internship Program, using Acrobat Reader, please download, print and complete the Monitor Form, then return it by mail or by fax (609-520-5804) to the Fund. You may also send the requested information to the Fund as an e-mail message at newsfund@wsj.dowjones.com. If you are sending e-mail we will need your name, title, university, department, campus mailing address, city, state, ZIP code, telephone number and e-mail address.
